Nicolaism

The term Nicolaism  was mentioned in the book of Yohanna the revelator. This can be traced in the chapters  in which the spirit was praising the assembly of Yahoshea at Ephesus for “hating the deeds of the Niclotians which I also hate”. While the assembly at Pergamum was blamed for “having them who hold the Niclotian's doctrines”.

Early records of Yahoshea's ministry mentioned the sect- Niclotians and it is assumed to has been founded by Deacon Nicolas. By scriptural record, Nicolas was one of the first seven ordained deacons as appointed by the early Yahoshea's assembly.

Etymology Of The Name

Etymology of the term-“Niclotians” is a combination of “Nico” or “Niko” which means “victory” in Greek and “Laos” which means “people”. By the combination, Niclotians means-“Conquerors of the lay people”. Such name was given to the followers of heretic deacon Nicolas who began to mix the pure scriptural doctrines of Yahoshea with his self made gnosis. The founder of the movement – Nicolas was a native of Antioch and a proselyte (convert to Yahudism) who later joined  to Yahosheanism.

At the Assembly of Yahoshea stationed in Yerusalem, he was appointed as one of the first “Seven Deacons” and ordained by the apostles. The Niclotians hold him as the founder of the movement.

The Niclotian priestly order influenced the apostolic fathers to formulate the apostolic succession as well as priestly primacy in the Christian tradition.

The post-apostolic fathers transformed the offices of the overseers and deacons to priestly order of the church. This was never in line with the principle of the primitive Yahosheanity where every convert were opportuned to raise among brethren to preach or teach either as moved by spirit or appointed by the station overseer.

Again, the Niclotians were stuffed by practice of excess fasting and other mechanic rituals as means of appeasing Yahweh. Like the Pharisees of  Yahudean tradition, they appeared  gorgeous and claim holiness based on their conviction of the spiritual effects of such mechanical rituals.

The religious movement was too loose over issues of adultery and eating of things sacrificed to idols. Nicolaism  supported loose polygamy or holding of wives in common and immoral attitudes. Some scholars hold that Nicolas lived a pure lifestyle and treasured his family especially his wife. As the apostles abused him of bearing over-regard on his wife, he offered to allow his wife to be repossessed by any other person.  He was often heard saying that “it is our duty to fight against the flesh and to abuse it”. His way of life was later adopted by the Niclotians as their tradition.

There are arguments that the deacon was not the direct founder of the immoral movement but his name was wrongly used.

Niclolaism is related to Baalism and the “teaching of the Niclotians” refered to “teachings of Baalism”. It refers as a tradition that suppresses the people by the ruling class (clergy). This was against the teaching of Yahoshea Meshiyach and his successive apostles.

Acts Of Niclotians

Niclotians can be referred to as two-faced believers that present the true scriptures but practices opposite of them. These are stock of pretenders amongst believers and through pretentious livelihood, spiritual things are less regarded. By true fact, Niclotians are much interested on things of the flesh and therefore honors people of such regard.

They are often referred as wolves amongst sheep-fold for they treasure self-styled spiritual methods and  worldly things thereby distracting true faithful from their real focus or mission in life.

Early assembly of Yahoshea Meshiyach was disturbed by the sagacious Niclotians who climbed to the high offices or seats to enhance corruption of the scriptural doctrines as put-forth by Yahoshea Meshiyach. The assembly had to contend with such evil men as heretics. The  gnostic sects, apostates or Niclotians rose like thorns and choked the good scriptural tidings that the assembly stood for.

As years went  by, among the gentile  Yahosheans, the assembly became filled of sorcerers like Simon Magus, Magicians, Necromancers and all sorts of men with debaseful sciences. By the deeds of these evil workers, the teachings of Yahoshea Meshiyach became mixed by such pseudo sciences and have to lose its saltiness or purpose.

Such condition tarried till fourth century AD when the Roman state developed interest on the assembly and subsequently unified it with so many other sects to produce Roman Catholic Church.

Tradition Of The Niclotians

One of the major traditional principles of the Nicolaism  was its separation of the brethren into the categories of the clergy and the laity.

Originally, the Yahudean priestly culture did not lay much regard upon the priests as they were kept for confection of holy things alone in the house of Yahweh.  This status of the priests took the form of heathen priests that exercised enormous powers including politics in the assembly through apostasy.

Yahosheanism did not divide between clergy and laity as all converts were referred as brethren and each one can be called to officiate during any Sabbath and fellowship service as recommended by the station overseer.  There was no permanent officiating priest that handled Sabbath and fellowship periods alone in any station.  Preaching was made open for all members that were capable of rendering such service to the brethren.

This Yahoshean principle was not followed by the Niclotians whose priestly order was conferred with the sole obligation of confecting all worship and services in the assembly.

Persecuted The Saints

By this unholy combination, all doctrines of the assemblies of Yahoshea Meshiyach became corrupted, defaced and later eliminated. By this development, the new Catholic Church became embroiled by Roman customs and traditions. All percepts of Yahosheanism became acts of taboo and abomination and people that stood by them became tagged as heretics by Roman Church.

Such faithful were meant to face the toughest trials and persecutions as foretold of them by Yahoshea Meshiyach. Some of such faithful faced the fury of Roman Church and secular authority to recant and conform to the presumption of Roman Church or face death penalty or other consequences.

The Church of Rome transformed the pagan cultures to appear as Yahoshea's ordained percepts with a mix-up of his adulterated genealogical and ministration account. This madness as mixed by the Church of Rome intensified to the point that it turned into blood sucker to all that held sacred the scriptural doctrines of Yahoshea Meshiyach.

All the Hebrew related doctrines of the assembly were forbidden to be observed by the Church of Rome and those that ventured into them were tagged as heretics and were meant to be burnt at torture stake.

Pervated All True Principles Of Yahosheanism

Some of the doctrinal pillars of Yahosheanism that include proclamation of holy name Yahweh for the Grand-Creator and Yahoshea Meshiyach were forbidden and been replaced by names of idol gods of heathens in their stead.

The law of Sabbath observation as kept by the Patriarchs of Hebrew nation which was equally one of the doctrinal pillars of Yahosheanism was abolished and death penalty imposed on those that observe it.

The law that forbid usage of molten images amongst Yahoshean community was erased and changed with polytheistic religion of Romans. Many forms of idolatrous images were formed to represent Yahoshea, his apostles, Miriam and Yoseph in worship.

The doctrine of Trinity was adopted to replace the Yahoshea's doctrine of unity (Yah-Echad). All holy festivals adopted by Yahoshea Meshiyach and were observed by his early disciples were removed and replaced by heathen Roman forms of festivals. All faithful that tend to restore or practice the ordained doctrines of Yahoshea and his elects met with capital punishment from Roman Catholic authority.

Influence To Roman Church

Majority of the early Apostolic and church fathers were Niclotians in thought and practices.  They were primary actors towards the formation of Christianity.

Numerous Church councils were convocted and through edicts raised by these councils, the doctrines of Yahoshea were replaced by heathen practices. This ugly development closed the true path that was laid by Yahoshea Meshiyach and his followers.

Sincere seekers for Yahoshea and his congregation had no established assemblage to enlist themselves; therefore they reluctantly follow the church who falsely presents itself as the bride of Yahoshea.

As Roman church consolidated itself as the continuation of the assemblies of Yahoshea, it made fierce wars against person(s) that intend oppose it of its imposed doctrines or liturgies which it deceitfully presented as approved way of Yahoshea.

This unfortunate activities tarried for twelve centuries before the church became challenged by reformers who themselves were more of political interest than inclined to scriptural truths.

Although there were pre-reformative sects who challenged the Roman church over some doctrinal irregularities but were rooted out by the powers of Roman Emperors and Popes on thrones.

The book,-A history of civilization presented the Roman church of 15th century as this-“Splendor of Rome grew immeasurably during the late1400s and 1500's and its political importance prospered temporarily”.

The 16th century state of Roman Church was described by Machiavelli as thus-“Had the religion of Christianity prescribed according to the order act of the founder, the state and commonwealth of Christendom would have been far more united and happy than they are. Nor can there be a great or proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Roman church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they”.
